VIVES University College

Profile of the university

VIVES, Campus South, situated in the South-West of Flanders, has a total number of 7500 students and 400 full-time equivalents of lecturers. A dynamic team of lecturers creates, along with the students and the work field, a fascinating and stimulating educational environment for practical training, in function of lifelong learning. This learning process includes developing values, ethical reflection and sense-making interpretation.

VIVES intends to put the Christian narrative into a contemporary perspective in the light of a global and multicultural society. We pay special attention to the less privileged, the people who are going through difficult moments. Equal opportunities for students with special needs is one of the school's main goals.

Enjoy learning is VIVES's motto. Practice-oriented knowledge, social and practical skills and strong attitude building are the pillars of every VIVES study programme. Classroom lectures are supplemented by on-the-job training, during which students' knowledge, skills and attitudes are put to the test. This is one of the reasons why VIVES is highly appreciated by numerous employers.
